How to create a new event

This article goes through how you create a new event in Pace Admin

To create a new race in Admin, you first need to set up the event, and thereafter, you can add your distance/distances. Note - if you have an old event for the same race, we recommend duplicating your old event for easier setup (see section 2 below).

This guide helps you create a new event, step by step:

This guide if for races using Pace/RaceID registration. For instructions on how to add a new Calendar race, please click here.

  1. Log into your Admin page

  2. Go to the "Races" page in the left-hand side menu:

  6. When you are done, click on the purple "Create" button at the bottom. You will see a pop-up like this, and you can choose if you want to continue the setup or go to the draft race page: Screenshot 2026-03-06 at 13.21.24

If you click on continue, you will be able to proceed with receipt settings and then add distances. Note that you must add at least one distance to be able to publish your race. To learn how to add distances to your event, click here.

Duplicate Event

If you already have an event for the same race (for example, from last year), you can choose to duplicate the entire event. To do this, go to the race page for your old event, press the actions button in the upper right corner, below the image, and Duplicate.
