Connect your race to RaceResults via API for timekeeping with RaceResults soft-, & hardware
In this article, we will explain how you as race organizer are able to connect your race from RaceID to RaceResults.
Introduction
The RaceID platform is connected to RaceResults API for Time Keeping using RaceResults software and hardware.
This means that if you as an organizer have your own RaceResults hardware that you want to use for timing your race or if you are using a local timekeeping company that uses RaceResults hardware we at RaceID can connect to the RaceResults platform and automatically transfer your start lists for the timekeeping.
The API connection between RaceID and RaceResults allows you as a race organizer to work only in RaceID SuperAdmin with your start list and participants' data until the start of the race. The RaceID database for your participants will be the master and sync automatically and in real-time to RaceResults. This means that you shall use, add and edit your start lists using RaceID SuperAdmin and it will be updated instantly in your RaceResults event.
For timekeeping and results presentation the RaceResults software and web are used.
it is possible to import results to RaceID after the race is completed using the RaceID SuperAdmin results import feature. You can read more about it here.
How to connect your event from RaceID to RaceResults
To connect the race in RaceID to the event in RaceResults you (or your local timekeeping) first need to create an exact copy of the RaceID event in the RaceResults system - this means all distances, classes and registration fields need to match between the two systems.
The next step is to give RaceID access to the RaceResults event by adding the user "RaceID" ID: 58688.
Let your contact person at RaceID know that the above is done and RaceID will then start the integration between the events. The integration will be open and working all the way until the race is complete.
