How to Enable Participant Self-Service Editing in Pace Admin

To let your participants edit their registrations (for example change class, phone number, club or anything else that might be wrong), you need to activate this service in the Distance Settings in Pace Admin.

To allow participants to edit their registration details, follow the steps below in the Pace Admin:

1. Navigate to Your Event

  • In the left-hand menu, click Races
  • Select the race you want to edit

2. Access Distance Settings

  • Scroll down to the Distances section (located near the bottom of the page)
  • Locate the distance you want to edit
  • Click the three dots (•••) on the right-hand side and select Edit

If you have not yet created a distance, click Add Distance — this will open the same configuration menu.

3. Open Additional Options

  • In the left-hand submenu, click Steps
  • Select Additional Options
  • Find the Self-Services option (second to last in the list)
  • Toggle Self-Services ON

Once enabled, the Self-Services step will appear in the left-hand menu.

4. Configure Self-Service Options

  • Click Self-Services (or click Next to navigate through the steps)

You will see two available options:

  • Edit Registration
  • Transfer Registration

5. Enable Registration Editing

  • Toggle Edit Registration ON
  • Set the From Date (when participants can start editing)
  • Set the To Date (when editing access ends)

6. What Participants Can Edit

When enabled, participants can update:

  • Personal/profile information

Participants cannot edit:

  • Custom fields added during registration

7. Save Your Changes

  • Click Save & Exit to finish
