# New Way to Log In to Pace (RaceID)

## To make login and registration more secure and easier to use, we have updated how logging in to Pace works. Below, we explain what’s new and what it means for you as a user.

### **A More Secure Login**

When you log in or register, you are now redirected to a secure login page shared by RaceID and Pace.

This is done to protect your information and ensure that the correct details are linked to the correct account.

### **Passwordless Login**

You no longer log in using an email address and password.

Instead, we send a one-time code to your email address and/or phone number.

**How it works:**

- You enter your email address (or phone number)
- You receive a code sent to you
- You enter the code — done

This makes logging in both easier and more secure.

### **For Existing Account Holders**

If you already have an account, you must now always log in before continuing with a race registration.

This ensures that:

- your information is protected
- your registration is linked to the correct account
- your history and upcoming races are displayed correctly in the app

### **Summary**

- Login now takes place via a shared, secure RaceID/Pace environment
- Passwords have been replaced with one-time codes sent via email or phone
- Existing users must log in to continue a registration

If you experience any issues logging in, please make sure you have access to the email address or phone number you used when registering.
